The training covers the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances, as well as understanding safety data sheets and recognising warning symbols. It also explains how and when to report accidents, injuries, diseases, and dangerous occurrences, ensuring legal compliance and accurate record keeping.

The course places a strong focus on health and safety in care settings, including infection prevention and control, safe working practices, moving and handling awareness, and safeguarding the wellbeing of service users, staff, and visitors.
