This Health and Safety Training course is designed to equip learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to create and maintain a safe working environment. The course provides a comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation, including COSHH and RIDDOR, and explains the roles and responsibilities of both employers and employees.

Learners will develop the ability to identify workplace hazards, carry out risk assessments, and implement effective control measures. The training covers the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances, as well as understanding safety data sheets and recognising warning symbols. It also explains how and when to report accidents, injuries, diseases, and dangerous occurrences, ensuring legal compliance and accurate record keeping.

The course places a strong focus on health and safety in care settings, including infection prevention and control, safe working practices, moving and handling awareness, and safeguarding the wellbeing of service users, staff, and visitors. Learners will gain knowledge of accident prevention, emergency procedures, and how to respond appropriately to incidents.

In addition, the training includes fire safety awareness, covering fire prevention, fire risk assessments, emergency evacuation procedures, and the correct use of fire safety equipment. First aid training is also included, enabling learners to respond confidently to emergencies and manage common injuries and medical situations until professional help arrives.
